Thought I would post some "positive" feedback here. I took the NCLEX Tuesday morning. Yes, it wasn't pretty. I left there feeling it could go either way and I posted here that I was really unsure about whether I passed or not. I passed the time away yesterday, still physically and mentally EXHAUSTED from taking the test, and all the while, HOW will I ever be able to do this again if I don't make it?
I found out exactly 48 hours after the test that I "passed." I almost cracked up when I saw the lower case letters that read
'pass'.....with no bells and whistles, simply a HUGE sigh of relief while sitting at my computer, tear streaming down my face that I was finally done.
All I can say is that I must have known more than I thought, and the uncertainty that comes with being a new nurse was able to creep in and cause a ton of self-doubt. Priority questions were big. There were meds, but mostly common ones you would know simply from nursing school; only 1 med I had never heard of. I ahd several developmental and psych situations too.
Keep plugging away. It really IS true, miracles can come true....
Peace,
K

Congratulations to you...way to go:balloons:...it's a wonderful feeling
I too tested on 8/7 and this morning at 6:30 am i put my name in on the board of nursing website and my name and license number popped up. Tears starting streaming down my face. Tears of joy, relief, and happiness. I am so thankful to God he definately had a hand in this and nursing school too. I just wanted to tell everyone good luck and go with your first instinct it's always right ( I sure did).
Also i would like to add if you don't feel ready to test then don't test. I'm not talking about nerves or butterfiles but really a gut feeling that says hey don't do it then don't. I was about one week away from testing had taken a $300 review course and used Saunders and i just didn't feel prepared so i rescheduled my test and gave myself an extra two weeks and spoke some friends who did other reviews and they all recommended Hurst Review. So i said okay let me look into this i called them they were wonderful i explained my situation and asked them if they could help me and they told me about their online review..when i tell you Marlene and her review program are God sent im telling you the truth. I could have saved myself alot of time and money if I would have done Hurst review from the start but, im glad i found it in the end.
Good luck to everyone out there...NCLEX is a bridge we will all cross.

:uhoh21: I took the NCLEX today and had to answer all 265 questions, I can't help but thinking that this is not a good sign and I probably failed:o

I too took the NCLEX on 8/7, and found out this morning that I did in fact pass. For the folks that have questions regarding, has anyone passed with even numbers or with more than 75 questions, I am the proof that it can happen. The other point that I wanted to clarify if anyone is interested is, just because you don't get any select all questions, which are considered to be high intensity questions, does not mean that you are going to fail. I only got two of those questions, and started to panic because everyone else that I knew that had passed got between 6 and 10. The bottom line is that everyone has a different exam and you never really know what is going to happen. I am just thrilled to death that it is finally over, and I wish everyone else out there the best of luck.

Hi! Congratulations on passing the NCLEX to everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to be where you all are at. :) I'm a nursing student about to begin my last year of nursing school for my ADN. I had a question about the Hurst Review and the NCLEX... do the tests differ from state to state and does it matter what state your from for the Hurst review courses? I notice they only go to LA, GA, FL and places around there for the live reviews. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I haven't started researching about the NCLEX yet so any info would help.

Congratulations, nurse!!!
No no it's not a stupid question Hurst review goes to other states ive seen Maryland and VA but i did notice they are mostly in the south but just to clarify i took the online portion because in my short time span i couldn't get to a live review. My friends all did the live review in tampa they made a girls week out of it and had fun with it. The online review was awesome unlike other reviews where you just sit and read Marlene is actually lecturing to you and you watch her and follow along with very in depth notes...hope this helps
Hey GCC07tt:
Many congrats to YOU, my friend. "WE" did it !!!! I have to take the time to thank this website actually for the awesome referral of the Prioritzation book. If I wouldn't have gotten that 2 wks before the exam, I am certain I would have been lost. It, in my opinion, is an invaluable resource for NCLEX and those difficult priority questions. Make the investment and take the time to answer the questions...it is soooo worth it.
See ya soon GCC07tt

Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment authored by LaCharity,Kumagai and Bartz. Publisher is mosby. I bought mine at barnes & nobles..
To SoulShine75,
The book is called Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment by Linda LaCharity, Candice Kumagai and Barbara Bartz. You can buy it at Barnes and Noble for $25.00. Myself and Kimber3ks studied together for the NCLEX and I believe between studying content and using this book it is the reason why I passed. I got mostly prioritization questions and without this book I don't know if I would have known how to answer them properly. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!!
