Overhead in elementary school...

Overheard in an elementary school classroom during snack time:

Kid 1: "I do not want Donald Trump to be our president anymore."

Kid 2: "Me neither. I think Trump is the worst president we've ever had."

Kid 1: "Yeah. I want the first president to be our president."

Me: "Do you mean George Washington?"

Kid 1: nods

Kid 3 pipes in: "Well he can't. 'Cause he's dead."

All of this was said very seriously by these kids. They crack me up.

    4th and 5th graders waiting in the main office for early dismissal

    4th:Yeah, well, we are almost adults

    5th:I know, but being an adult is like super hard, right?

    4th:No, not really. I mean not as hard as being in school, but you will have to do laundry on Sundays, so that's sort of hard.

    I love these kids!

    I had these types of talks with kids and I'm like... nah son, we have to do taxes and bills. then they go they want to stay little forever and I tell them, you go kid.

    Kiddo: "That sounds AWFUL, I'll just stay a 3rd grader"
