OSBI reports

I am going to OKC next week to get my OSBI background check done (rather than waiting the 3 weeks to get it by mail!) and was wondering if anybody knows where North Harvey is? The address is 6600 North Harvey. Mapquest shows it as west of Broadway Ext around 63rd but I was wondering if anybody had ever been there and knew what the building looks like and what's close by? I used to live in Edmond so I'm familiar with the area but it's been over 6 years since I lived there.

By the way...I finish my preceptorship for school Jan 31 which means as soon as I can get this background check done I can send my application in for the BON and NCLEX!!!! I'm hoping to take the NCLEX mid-late February!!! :monkeydance: :monkeydance:

Hi Lana,

OSBI is off of NW 63rd and Broadway Ext. You need to go west just about 2 blocks and that is Harvey. Then turn north and you should be there...

Kathy

It took less than a week to get my OSBI check back. Good luck!

Thanks Kathy!

Butterfly - yeah, I've heard from some that it didn't take long and mine usually haven't taken more than 1 1/2-2 weeks but I had one actually take 3. I'm too anxious to get the whole ball rolling on my NCLEX process to wait for it! And I found out yesterday that when I apply to my LPN-RN bridge program (which will be as soon as I get my license in the mail) I have to have another original OSBI report for that so I'm glad I hadn't mailed it off already. Anybody know if it costs $15 for each copy you get?

Lana,

Just thought of something else...cash only!!! Also, when I went to school, had to get an additional report because we hadn't marked the box for "sex offender".

I certainly wish you the best !!!

Lana, Congratulations on all that you have done. You rock! I know you will sail through the NCLEX. :saint:

Lana- Completely understand on not wanting to wait. I hope you dont mind me asking, but where are you going to go to RN school at? I have heard Platt is over $20,000. And I'm really not interested in taking several years of basics at TCC, one year sounds so appealing. If your going to Platt do you have any info.? Thank you in advance.

I'm going to TCC but have been taking the prereqs for a couple of years so I already have them all. I actually found out yesterday that if I take the LPN bridge class this summer and take 2 clep tests they offer that replace level 3, I can finish up in December! Isn't that amazing? I know it's going to be a lot of studying for those tests because apparantly a lot of people don't pass them. I can only afford to take them once because they're $220 each. Have you checked on the online bridge with Excelsior College?
