My wife and I are both RN's and are going to be traveling starting in Jan. 05. We are considering two states, AZ or FL. Would like some opinions on both places as far as work environment, pay, cost of living... We plan on settling down and buying, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, My name is Jason and my mother was a ER nurse in Arizona for 30 years before retiring. The pay rates vary, but are within the mid 30's. The enviroment is awesome and sunny all year round. You have the decision of vacationing to California, Mexico, or even several different great locations within Arizona. The hospitals are always looking for nurses and are in need. I'm with a staffing company and could help you get some information if you want?

definitely recomend Arizona over Florida. the weather in Arizona is much nicer and most places outside the Phoenix metro area are pretty laid back.

Funny you should ask this because my husband and I are also trying to plan ahead to a year after my graduation. We both want to move to either Florida (Orlando area) or Arizona (Phoenix-Tucson area). I was doing research and as far as salaries go, they are very comparable. I would think, but don't know for sure, that the cost of living is about the same in both as well. When I lived in AZ, rents were going for about what they do in FL.
