I would be more concerned about the requirements of the province you wish to transfer to
I know my province requires a certain number of hours for the past 5 yrs before they could accept me as an out of province RN. But my concern is the Ontario side. Because i heard rumors about it, but never really asked someone from Ontario who transferred their license to another jurisdiction.

Ontario really only comes into it if you're planning to transfer IN. They have an evidence-of-safe-practice requirement that's a bit different than all the other provinces. In order to transfer from another province or country INTO Ontario the practice period is 3 years rather than 5. The CNO website says this:
"Evidence of Practice
You must show that you have recent experience practicing as a nurse. Most Ontario applicants automatically meet this requirement by completing a nursing program approved by the College within the past three years."
If you're registered in Ontario and moving to another province then you'd need to have the minimum currency-of-practice hours that province requires, which is typically somewhere around 1100 within the past 5 years. So anybody who has worked a full year of full time any time in the preceding 5 years will more than meet that.
Perfect, thank you!
