Only a nursing student...

...would get a little excited about having to get a CT scan done! I have a small hard mass (1-2cm) in my RLQ and my doctor scheduled me for a CT scan tomorrow since I have had conflicting diagnoses regarding exactly what it is and it is causing me discomfort on a daily basis now. I have to drink some stuff called MD-Gastroview and I guess they are going to inject me with some dye when I go in tomorrow. I've never had a CT scan done before, should be interesting... Thanks for looking!!:nurse:

We have our cath check-off the Tuesday before Thanksgiving :nurse:

ehhh, I had to drink that stuff a few years back for a CT scan. It was berry flavored and discusting and I ended up throwing it up in the doctors office... it was lovely. Drink slowly and good luck!

good luck, i will pray for you.

Uh, I had a CT scan of the abdomen last month and the stuff you have to drink is HORRID!! Ugghhhhh

I almost puked it up and it gave me diarrhea for 2 days! So be sure to have some fun with it, LOL!

Good luck and God Bless. :)

Sounds like fun times... This stuff is 'lemon-vanilla' flavored (who in the world came up with that combination?! lol) and they recommended mixing it with Sprite. My appt got moved to Friday at the hospital (the radiologist office that they were going to send me to apparently doesn't take my insurance) so maybe that will give me time to mentally prepare for the flavor of this stuff:barf01:

I can totally relate to the excitement of getting something done to yourself when you are learning about it. I had a EKG done yesterday and I am currently on a heart monitor and I have been a little curious about what my results are related to the norm and abnormal. So far I am just showing a sinus arrhythmia but they are not sure if it is also a flutter. It's kinda stressful at the moment because I am not sure what the survey will be but it is interesting to see on myself.

I hope all goes well for you on Friday!
