Online RN Programs/Schools

Hi,

Do you know of any online RN schools other than Excelsior College? I am a single parent who can't afford to stop working and go back to school full time so I'm looking into other options....

Thanks

Many community college have evening or weekend programs. Online Rn is only for people with clinical experience such as a LPN.

I go to a local community college for my ADN (RN) in their "hybrid" program. We get the same lectures as traditional students, but the lectures are posted online as power points with audio. We go to lab to practice skills (on our own time) and do as many clinical hours as the face-to-face students. Our tests are either taken together in a classroom, or proctored. I've had great success going to school this way, as it has enabled me to work full-time and still see my 3 kids & husband.

You certainly have to be motivated if you decide to learn this way. My professors have always been great about being available to chat, but this type of learning forces you to dig and find answers on your own.

I would encourage you to check out the colleges in your area and see if this type of program exists.
