Online CPR certification? Never heard of that! If I understand it correctly, all the lectures and other info can be learn online? I dont think so! How will you perform it on actual basis if its online? Dont fall for it! If I were you, I would look for those offering it legally like the Philippine Red Cross.

Are you referring to Basic Life Support training? If so, there are a lot of facilities offering such training like the Phil National Red Cross (PNRC), Ateneo Professional School, various training centers. You can call the PNRC near your place for the schedule of their training.

why do you want it online if you could had it "hands on"? and for the fact that you will perform it in reality and not virtually... better have the hands on learning that relying on lectures, there's no better way of learning through hands on and on experience.... :)

Hi Aspire! Just for your info, Philippine National Red Cross in Intramuros Manila conducts a weekly training for CPR & Basic Life Support (starts every monday). You need to be there at 7am or before for the registration. You also needs to bring medical certificate because the training consists of different scenarios/situations wherein you would need to run & carry and the medical certificate would be for your protection & theirs too. And lastly, of course you bring money for the registration. hehehehe.

is this true? this doesn't make sense since there should be an actual demonstration by the student itself.
of course it doesn't make sense! THe proper CPR training should have a return demo on a dummy. Yesterday, I just had my BLS training in the ER of the hospital where I work, provided by the hospital of course.. We had lectures for about an hour then a return demo infront of the the ER residents and interns. Then a post test....
If you apply on an online CPR program, how are you going to do the return demo?

Is this a 1 day seminar only?
Thanks a lot

CPR Today does not offer a legitimate online CPR certification. There is one online course through the American Heart Association -- however, if you do the online portion of the class, you still have to make an appointment with an instructor to do a hands-on skills evaluation before you can be certified.

Any on-line course will have a demonstration section that will need to be completed in front of a live human instructor. Or you do not get the card.
Not sure how you think that you could practice if there is nothing for you to practice on. How in the world would you perform compressions without having a dummy to practice on?
Please be aware that if taking the class for the US, you will need to complete one over here. As well as the course needs renewal, it does not last a last time, just like the English exams do not.
Thank for the info
