I was wondering if the schools around here accepted online science classes for transfer...I probably wont take any online unless I just can't get one coordinated around my work schedule at any local colleges. I also thought about taking a few in oreder to raise my grades from what they were my first time around in school.
Will the major schools accept online classes? Science ones in particular?

I've taken several online classes at my cc (in Florida) and there is no special notation on my transcript that says they were taken online. It just says the name of the class and the grade. There would be no problem transferring them anywhere.

I took Anatomy online at GPC. You have to be very disciplined. I took the lab at Dunwoody Campus. The credits transfered just fine.

Wow that is great, I have never seen an on line anatomy class. Anatomy at my college is very hands on, but you never know, I did all my chemisty on line without blowing up my house :chuckle
I would assume if it is from an accredited college and you are at a Jr.College they would have to take it. I do know that UC are more pick and more likley to say that a class with not transfer.
That's funny. I took A&P 1 and 2 online complete with labs. I'm taking micro w/lab online as well. My community college offers most everything online.....EXCEPT chemistry!

Hi, I am a newbie, exploring nursing as a second career. Can you tell me how to go about finding online courses for A&P prerequisites? I would love to not have to quite while I finish my prerequisites before applying for my accelerated BSN/MSN.
Thanks,
kim

Edukan.org offers A&P online. I had a friend who took it and she really enoyed it. The price was decent and it transferred to her college with no problem. She flet she learned a great deal having to learn on her own.
sunnyjohn,
thanks for your reply. can you indulge my ignornance for a few more seconds? if i do not attend any college right now, how would i go about getting credit for the online A&P classes? must i enroll in a college, transfer the credit from the online program before i can use them as pre-requisites for the BSN/MSN programs?
thanks!
