best thing going. im in a complete longdistance course right now. it will take 2 whole semesters. just a bunch of writing papers and research stuff. nothing that will really make me a more proficent rn or improve anytype of skills that i have. will also do some community nrsg stuff. compared to the asn program it's chocolate cake "with the creamcheese iceing in between the layers". i'd look into it.

I'm getting my BSN through Oakland University. I'm taking mostly online classes. The only class I've been to campus for was microbiology

Hi what online program?

I went to an NLN accredited online RN to BSN program and found it a lot of hard work and found it to be an excellent experience. I went to Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.
I was working nights at the time I started and it worked out perfectly with my lifestyle.
It's not for everyone, but I'm glad I did it that way.

How ironic......I just went down to WSU (Washington State University) to inquire about this! My question....is it easier to go online full time and work full time than to attend in the classroom?
Thanks!
Teresa
I like online classes better because of the self-study and plus I can still work fulltime and pick up some OT. I took Micro last fall and it was twice a week. The professor was horrid, couldn't understand him because of his accent and he always went way off topic. I couldn't work any overtime which put me in some financial constraints at the time. I was barely making enough money to keep my head above water. I'm taking two classes this coming fall semester. One is a online computer course, the other is principles of chemistry. All the RN-BSN classes at the uni I go to are online.

I have been at the University of Phoenix online BSN progam for almost 18mos and will be done. I believe online is a lot more time consuming yet you can go to class in your PJs.Lots of papers and you do get to meet your classmates. If you don't have a good advisor your in trouble I'm fourtuante to have had one. I've done some outside testing to get credits to save money (Dantes, CLEP)to finish some of my humanties.
Down side very expensive $1380.00 per class, I'll definitely look at going to a university for my Masters I miss the interaction and personal relationships I had in my ADN program.
yeah I was thinking in terms of out of state online programs accreditation is a major concern therefore I will go with MSU/USM branch in Meridian...
