To all who read my recent posts,
I mentioned that I failed my LPN test for the third time however a job with my present employer came up. It was actually a resident manager, so i would manage everybody in the group home that i worked at, i would earn a good living and actually had the support of all the people there to get this job. That included my boss who was promoted from that position to the area coordinator position.
He told me that he was going to be at the interview with his boss when she would interview me and he spoke quite highly of me before the interview, that is he said i was best suited out of all the people in the home to get the job.
I recieved alot of support from everybody so i thought actually that i would have a good chance at getting it and then i would study for the lpn while i was resident manager however i would commit to this new position for a number of years even if i had passed the nclex. Mind you this position paid more than an lpn.
Now im here at my computer after having the interview and I'm getting quite frustrated due to the lack of support i recieved from my boss at the interview and the fact that they said that they were thinking about my best interests. Basically my boss did a complete turn with his boss and what it felt like at the time was an attack was later to become disbelief at what my work mentor actually did and said.
Anyway, basically I'm back to square one because i do not believe now i will get the position. That leaves me with finding a full time job other than this one and back to studying what im sick and tired of doing, THE NCLEX.....
Mind you i called and left a message for the nurse that was not really helping me at my review course just over a week and a half ago and she still has not returned my message. Mind you she was expecting my call back then.
I do not mean to dwell on the other job as this is a LPN forum but some of you mentioned to keep you posted about what happened so thats it.
I'm going to look back at some of the websites people referred me too and i might even purchase the saunders book tomorrow. Im trying to believe that things happen for a reason but at this present time that is somewhat difficult. My wife is going to start pressing on me to get a full time job now but what should i do, people will look at my resume like they did in todays interview and they will not hire me because they think im already on my way to big bucks as a nurse but i need a job. Who knows when i will pass this nclex.
Anyway enough of me venting sorry for the long thread i should learn more to keep myself quick and to the point. Next thread i will try to do that. I live in nyc and im going to get myself a live review somehow, one that is good especially at test taking.
Thank you if youve read up until now.
All the best to all...

maybe you don't need to study but focusing on how to answer the question you could spend a few hours in borders or barnes and noble looking through books on how to answer the questions. all this costs is time a a little gas. push through the burn and pain. you can do it. you passed your exit exam so youcan oass the boards.
