So I was offered a job, filled out pre-employment paperwork and was set to go through hospital orientation next week. I received a call today saying that I wouldn't be able to start orientation next week because my paperwork wasn't signed (and therefore couldn't sign the written offer). I was told that the position I applied for needed to be reviewed and HR didn't know how long that was going to take. I was told not to be alarmed but I can't help it. What should I do? Continue to wait? Shall I pursue other options in the mean time? I also received another offer and don't want to turn it down and then end up jobless!! Any advice?

If you're interested in the second offer you should accept it. If you're not interested then don't stop looking for another job.

I think you are being jerked around. I think someone decided that they
couldn't use you after all. Consider the other offer.
Thank you all for the response. I am torn bc this is the ideal job but don't want to end up without a job. I'm going to wait until weds of next week to make a decision. The other offer will still be on the table until weds. Again thank you for your input.

I would keep my options open and keep pursueing other jobs. If you have more than one offer on the table you have leverage to get extra benefits not just "take" what one employer offers.
