Yeah I know but I find it interesting that this subject hasn't come up on here before and why are we not told in advance so we can do some financial planning/rearranging.

That is ridiculous! You will most definitely be paid while in OBC.

PS - I am an Army wife (and now an RN! Woo hoo!) married to an Active Duty Army Nurse!! Hooah!!

Thanks for your input dconnors...

I am wondering if those who went through OBC-R did not get paid until after the completion of the 4 weeks or if a check was cut q2 weeks.

Thanks!

Once OBLC was over, I was paid after I turned in my paperwork to my UA. I tried to email him the scanned sheets (while I was at OBLC) so I wouldn't have to wait for pay......but he wasnt in his office for a week or so.

In retrospect, I should have gone to speak with him PRIOR to OBLC and asked him "what he needed" to expedite the $$$, while I was still there. He obviously didn't think it was as important as I did....

But, 2 wks after OBLC, I received my pay and clothing allowance (which you can submit for after OBLC) and taxi fare/meals, etc.

good luck

P.S. DConner, Active duty get paid, but RC doesnt get their $$ until they submit paperwork........

Hmm..... I'm glad the Army thinks that Reservists, can go to Texas, attend training and not get by on any income. Especially w/ the economy the way it is. Now, I'll need to make some calls to make sure people will know why their payments will be late. Hmm.... I hope I will have an apartment to come home to.

Edie,

I am getting ahold of my LTC this morning. There is no way in hell that I will go through a month with no income. I will keep you posted.

Good Luck with that! :) I think it will be a mute issue. I have heard, AD gets all the kudos, then AR then NG. I am beginning to believe it.

I attended OBLC in April (ended May 4) and did not get paid until....drum roll please.....June 1st

***:nono:...This is not right... I got the impression from my UA that I would be paid as usual..15th and 1st... My unit is at ECT so I will have to wait til they get back before I can find anything else out

Yes, I agree it is not right, my husband nearly $#@* himself when we had to wait so long.
