have lstened to the automated message it tells me that the nvc have finished with me and sent my file on 7th of july!

So what does that Mean? Which packet is that?

  • Author

it means that packet 4 should be on its way soon as it is sent by the embassy

so you are basically awaitng your embassy interview and to get your medicals done?

the wait time for embassy interviews can vary from 2 to 6 months. they get sent out in the same date each month, so once that date is passed then you know you are not going for another month. i think that the date is about the 13th, maybe someone else will know the exact date these days as i have been here 2 years now.

OGP normally say 3-4 months for interview and medical. I think they are conservative, just in case they say 2-4 months and it takes longer. So you should here around oct/nov which is a lovely time of year

thats what it seems like

ive heard they send them out on the same day dont know what date it is though

it will be interesting to see how long this bit takes after the i140 saga

when you say lovely? do you mean a little cooler?

not as much heat as there is just now, 114 degrees yesterday. still 104 degrees when we went to the pool at 4pm.

looking forward to having a pool home, so that we can sink into it to cool off at any time of day.

:balloons: Congratulations!! Not long now. If it's any help our packet 4 was dated the 15th June and our interview is on 17th July.

Hi,

Good luck for your interview-nothing to get worried about, very simple procedure. I felt we were there as just a formality. We did wait a long time hours in fact but when our son went he waited for about 10 mins. I think we were there on a busy day.

People are there for everything but there are only about 30-40 for immigration purposes. You can get snacks and drinks inside.
