Hey guys, this is my first post. I'm a newly graduated RN that will start my job this week. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for comfortable shoes to wear to work.

Depending on what your facility policy is, I would find some comfortable tennis shoes...but not to flashy.
For example, at our hospital you are allowed to wear black, white, or brown shoes. They're lenient on things like having a colorful Nike swoosh or flowing lines like on Asics. Personally I think my Asics are the most comfortable thing ever. My feet haven't hurt ..yet. I have had them for almost six months.
I've also heard some staff say how much they like their Danksos, but I haven't had any to be able to give you my opinion. Good luck!

Vibrams? Their five fingered toed shoes are also heaven. They have thick leather covers too if you want to be more discreet with the toes.

My LTC residents would probably freak out if I wore Vibrams - not to mention the ADON, DON, and administrator.

I've been wearing the same pair of black and white Onitsuka Tigers for two years now and they're still pretty comfortable.

I usually wear a pair of black leather Sperrys, I like them because they are comfortable (my feet never hurt) and they are super slip resistant which really comes in handy. A few times I have worn my Nike Tennis shoes but they are not nearly as comfortable and make it difficult when the floor is wet.
So, kind of wearing out the Mozo shoes I mentioned above. They are good in that they are basically entirely plastic and when you get various bodily fluids on 'em, you can dunk them in bleach if need be. They are great to stand in but not so good for walking long distances. I think with the locations I am in, nylon mesh should that absorb fluids would quickly become MRSA/VRE/C. Diff shoes. Any other ideas?

I wear New Balance 608 I think. No real advice other then once you find that magic pair. Buy 1 pair for every day your work in a week, max 3/4 pairs. Rotate them Your feet will thank you.

Retired running shoes where the cushioning is finished. Pretty much a new pair every 8-9 months...and I'll use it until I have another pair or I have a major bodily fluid incident.

Any running shoe, really. Vibrams are also cool. Although I've never really understood people and the spectrum of comfort level in regard to different shoes. As long as the size is right I'm fine. I've never put on a shoe and it felt uncomfortable. Except dress shoes, perhaps, as they're so flat and some have no cushion in the soles whatsoever. I digress... anything athletic and I'd assume you'll be okay.

Crocs, if they are allowed. Indestructible, bouncy, and GREAT for running, too, if you're into that.
