nurse residency

When and where? Where did you see info for that? Is it for may graduates or any other particular group?

It starts Aug, so I'm assuming it's for anyone graduating before then. Wed 30th at 2. Are you going? When are you finish with school?

No I still have a couple semesters. Would love to hear about it when you go though.

I also received an invite by email to this event. I just accepted a job offer so I will not be attending. Do you know if this event is only for people who applied for the August residency? I wanted to tell me friends about it that are still looking for work.

Yes, I believe its only for those who applied for the residency. I would tell your friends to double check with HR though. Good Luck.

I recieved an invite for this as well. I dont know what to expect or if they will be interviewing on site.

Not sure. Do you know if they invited all applicants? It would like to know what to expect as well.

I was invited but do not think I will be going. I live 2 and half hours away and even though I am willing to move, I still need some kind of income to pay my rent until the program starts. Have you heard anything about the hospital, is it a good place to work for a new grad???

OMG they are looking at New Grads and experienced...They say they have limited positions, and that they don't even know how many positions they have. Mother/Baby only had one opening. So its New Grads vs experienced nurses and about a 100 resumes. I got so frustrated there, because I felt there were not alot of opportunities to stand out. I think they just invited everyone who applied.

i agree lillylyle. i decided to go at the last minute and left feeling frustrated as well. i went through all the stations and made an effort to introduce myself to the managers and left resumes. with the large crowds though i couldn't figure out how to stand out.

i honestly dont even know why mother/baby was there...they said they only had one position open and would fill it in internal 1st if they could.

They invited all applicants. one of my friend went there last year, she said that over 250 people were there for interview.
