NRP certification?

How many of you are NRP certified? Is the class hard? I've got the book from my educator and am trying to get started on reading it, I take the course in about 2.5 weeks. She said to read the whole book, chapters 1-9. Just wondering if its really difficult or not.

Thanks everyone!

I am an instructor for the NRP at my local hospital. Use the CD. It is a great tool. Make the book your best friend until the test. Study the key points and do the practice questions. Keep in mind...as an instructor, we don't want you to fail. It doesn't do anyone any good if you are in a delivery and don't know what to do. Try not to get too stressed out over it and you'll do great.

Good luck:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

Does anyone know of any good NRP recertification course in the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA area coming up?? I need it by February...THANKS!! :redpinkhe

Thanks for all the advice and feedback everyone. I passed it and am certified. Thanks again!

I'm in the Northwoods of Wisconsin (close to the U.P.)- where is the closest place for NRP?

You can go to this website, American Academy of Pediatrics, and put in your area and the names of instructors will be listed. You then email them and they will let you know when they are teaching.

Do the hospitals you work at pay for it? I do not have a job yet, but I was thinking of taking this class (looks good on resume, I think).

Yes I am wondering the same thing...I am a new grad do they allow new grads to take it? Because I figure it sounds interesting and looks good on applications. I want to work in L&D.
