So...43 years old..all pre-reqs completed...accepted to program...shots completed..cpr class completed...background check completed...scrubs purchased (at least enough to start)...classes don't start until Tuesday - the totally weird feeling of nothing left to do. At least as far as school is concerned. Torn between doing all sorts of things on the home front or just enjoying the last few days before total chaos begins : )

get some rest! sleep in.. sit around the house all day in your pj's you'll learn that you wont have time for that anymore except on semester breaks lol
It's just been semester breaks for a year and a half! I have knocked out 54 hours since Sept 09 : )

Trust me when I say to enjoy these precious last few days off. I started on Monday and I am overwhelmed to say the least...kinda like a baby bird thrown out of the nest before learning how to flap those wings. :redlight:

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS ON ENTERING YOUR NURSING PROGRAM!!!! And I agree, take some time to yourself- give yourself a manicure, watch tv for the last time, try not to read ANYTHING....I wish you the best of luck :)
I haven't slept in two nights. Repressed nerves maybe? I think today might be spent watching mindless TV or chick flicks. May not even get out of jammies. Thanks for all the support. It does make such a difference coming from those who understand!

I'm 44 years old, start my last semester next Tuesday. I have been just hanging out enjoying my last vacation (5 weeks of semester break) for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, I can't wait to graduate and get started on my life.
I'll join you in front of the TV for some mindless watching. Our brains are going to get quite a workout soon enough.

I thought that I was in your same boat. And then, my son broke his leg skateboarding. Now, I am scrambling to get him into specialist, find him a wheelchair and make arrangements to get him to school since he will be wheelchair bound for up to four months. Life can be crazy that way. I start next Wednesday...... Woo Hoo...... all this craziness leaves little room for nerves! Congrats to you and GOOD LUCK!!!!
