Noc Ox?

Just got an order do to a 'noc ox'. I'm going to take this to mean a pulse ox once at night to make sure ox sat is staying above 90% during sleep, but since it's pretty vague wanted to see if any of the other nurses had run into this.

This needs to be clarified with the doctor as it could mean anything.

Agreed. Could mean continuous overnight oximetry, could mean apply O2 at night...needs clarification and possible RT intervention.

That is not something you would decide by taking a vote, you need to call the physician for clarification.

Yeah clarify the order. Routine VSS usually include a Q4, but any specials orders beyond that could mean continuous pulse Ox by RT.
