I know tons of other newly graduated students have experienced this as well, but I NEED to vent here! I submitted my application for the NCLEX back in November and registered with Pearson Vue soon after as well (that's 343$ in paperwork essentially). My school told us a million times to get all of this done early so we will get our ATTs sooner. They even had an "NCLEX speaker" of sorts come in and tell us to send our applications and checks ASAP if we haven't done so already. The state cashed my check and took my money IMMEDIATELY, literally 2 days after I mailed it. I graduated December 19th and because of the holidays my school changed our official graduation date to December 31st. Our school was on vacation from the 20th of December to January 5th. They didnt send our applications until the 16th of January! Now the state is saying they still havent received the paperwork from our school or "it might be in the mailroom but we havent gone through it yet". This is seriously driving me nuts. Why the hell did I have to lay out 343$ that I DONT have for everyone to take their sweet ass time?? I dont mind waiting but what was the rush??? I am feeling frusturated especially since a college very close to us just received their ATTs. I am also finding it really difficult to get motivated and study without a date, I know thats terrible but thats how it is for me..... sorry vent over.

I had the same problem because my school was slow as molasses to send my stuff. The good news was, once the school did finally send it, I got my att the following day. My BON works very quickly.

We had the same issue, but once the stuff got to the BRN, things got processed pretty quickly, and my ATT came soon after. I know it's frustrating. Believe me. I had a job offer that I was chomping at the bit to get started with.
The thing about sending everything early is that everything else has probably already been processed (and anything that was missing you'd know about by now, or could call about), so once this last bit is processed, you should be good to go.
Thanks for being so understanding everyone! Nice to know I am not alone in this. I actually called the state again this morning and they told me they haven't received anything from my school... STILL!! She even had the supervisor check and they said they didn't get anything!! My school said they sent everything on the 16th! This is so annoying. Now I have an interview this Friday and it would be awesome if I could tell them I have my NCLEX date scheduled. UGHHHH.
I would call the school! They were the ones that were holding up my ATT, not the BON.
I called my school and they have been flat out lying to all of us!! First they said they sent out the info on the 16th of January and that the state will lie to us and tell us they don't have it even when they do because they cant "confirm anything". Then with much persistence I continued to call to find that they didn't send anything out until the 22nd of January!! (allegedly). To make matters worse, I just had a interview for an amazing new grad opportunity and they basically told me they cant hire me unless I pass my boards (understandably so). The program starts beginning of March so I don't think I will even make it ugh.

Tomorrow, go to your school, you tell them you want a sealed official copy of your transcripts and whatever other paperwork the BON requires, and then you drive it over to the BON and get someone to sign a receipt for it. You paid tens of thousands of dollars for your degree, you have a right to get the paperwork to allow you to take the exam!! My school took about 3 weeks and sent the stuff to the grads so we could take it to the BON. It took BON about 2 days after they got our paperwork to start sending ATTs.
Then start studying with the knowledge that you will be able to schedule soon. A 4 week study plan should be enough to pass the test in time to qualify for that job!
Good luck!
Thank you so much for the info!! I will look into doing all of that. I am desperate! I have however called the state and asked them if I can bring a transcript myself and they said no it has to come directly from the school. But I will call tomorrow and ask again. Thank you!

That's crazy... It's def your school holding you up. Not the bon.. I graduated same day as u, dec. 19 and got my ATT on jan. 5, (I didn't even send my paper work to Bon til 12/23 or pay pearson til 12/30 ... I have taken my nclex and passed already... If I were u I would start studying so as soon as your Att comes you can schedule a close test date. No need to wait to receive that. Therefore you can make that program u want.
What state are you in? I never heard of a BON refusing official transcripts that are submitted by the grad. As long as they are sealed.
I'm im NY. I will call again tomorrow and see if they will take a sealed official transcript from me.... Praying they say yes! They did tell me no initially.
