Feb 5, 201511 yr I passed the exam as well today. Left feeling like I might not have passed so it was a pleasant surprise to see that I had. I think the Royal Marsden book is pretty useful - mainly for the quizzes. The blueprint...not so much. The test consisted of all of the things a previous poster mentioned - 1 maternal/child health question, 1 mental health question etc. Good luck to you all!
Feb 6, 201511 yr Wew that is pretty harsh... anyways, if there is no other way i think we just have to live to it, although it's sad. Can you give us the insight on the nature of the questions? That would be greatly appreciated by many of the people here :).
Feb 6, 201511 yr its such a joke! I called again last week and they ensured me they would get back to my feedback email as well as answer my questions, but still haven't, so angry it's the fourth time I've requested info now. I would be calling them like every hour until I have my answers but I'm on holiday overseas I think more people like you should keep the pressure on NMC. They should do something about this ASAP, I know they need nurses but how can they get them if they subject you to a rather impossible examination to pass?
Feb 6, 201511 yr Practice questions are not free. Theyre 90 gbpCan anyone who bought them share the details to us? As for myself I don't even know where to procure it.

Is it available online?
Feb 6, 201511 yr So to all of you that have passed....have they not given you any info at all about the next steps now ? Like what dates are the osce and how much time you have to complete it, etc?? Any info appreciated! After almost 3 years trying to get my pin I've decided not to waste anymore time now considering they haven't even started doing osce's yet....so doing post graduate course. Maybe in another years time when I finish more study they will finally be sorted. So over it all!
Feb 6, 201511 yr Hello. What do yo mean about the poster? Is it available online?a 'poster' is a word used to describe a person who 'posts' a comment in a thread online. It's not the poster you are thinking of!
Feb 6, 201511 yr Hi there! I'm really new. I got my authorization last November, and i'm closing in on my 6th month of ATT. I'm now decided to take the exam March 9th. I have been delaying taking the exam because of the overwhelming resources, especially the blueprint. I mean, where do I even start? Good thing I browsed this forum and read a few pages. At least now I have a better understanding and scope what to read, including what Y and E means! Thanks for that! I have a few questions about the test though - I am practising general nursing now and it's been two years since I left hospital training. To those who have taken the exam, were there any drug side effects Qs (pharma questions) or CTT/mech vent/other machinery that we need to brush up on for the medsurg Qs? It's so difficult to go thru all these materials (RCN, Royal Marsden, NICE, The Code - not to mention the blueprint) at one go in the hopes of at least one question to come out in the exam that you might have skimmed thru. *trying to be positive*But seriously - Congrats to all those who have passed! And hopefully I get to bag it on my first take too.
Feb 7, 201511 yr Hi all!I took the 5 February test and luckily, I passed! Thank you for all those people in here who contributed their insights and tips without which I would really feel totally lost in knowing what to do in preparing for this test. :) God bless you all! :) To those who would take the CBT soon, good luck to all of you. If you have some questions, kindly send me a message here so I can help you out the best I can! Cheers!
Feb 7, 201511 yr Hi raissa! I don't know how to send a message here. Were there any drug side effects Qs (pharma questions) or CTT/mech vent/other machinery that we need to brush up on for the medsurg Qs?
Feb 7, 201511 yr Thanks for clarifying! From my experience, the test was very much like Cersaei (sp?) who posted on here described.
Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
