Aug 7, 201511 yr I just read all the pointers from this thread. I didn't read the blueprint (confusing), ran over the Marsden book. I prepared for a month while working so everything was in a rush.
Aug 7, 201511 yr What does it mean if i received a message that my nmc application has expired after taking the cbt?

Aug 8, 201511 yr hi. i submitted all my docs last month, but i still haven't received any email from nmc stating the assessment stage has started or my application is already on queue. how soon did the nmc send you this email after you mailed your docs and submitted your application? should i be worried?Try emailing them. I did, and they confirmed to me the date I was put on assessment queue. Then they said they will contact me again in 70 days. Just be patient with their respond, it might take weeks. If you want an immediate answer though, you can just call them up like some of the members here :)I am base here in the UK too. Well, my sister is in uni and is about to go on her 3rd year on her nursing. I asked her about the OSCE and she said it's easy peasy for we had countless revalidas when I was a student in the Philippines. Base on her, the test examiners don't like giving complex situations and that all her past OSCE (which she all pass with high scores- 92 above) were all from the Royal Marsden book. Hope this helps :)Wow! This is helpful info! Quite uplifting :) I pray that everyone who has booked up to this point will pass!!Hi all! I've finally booked my OSCE! Oh! Dear! For those who have paid for OSCE and didn't get a response from the uni.. Check your junk mail.. My receipt went there which has the link for booking the exam. All the best! xxCongrats kizmwah!! I hope this is it for you, and you will carry on the allnurses flag to UK! And us, just behind you! :)So what are you doing to prepare for the OSCE? And what date are you going to take it, if I may ask?
Aug 8, 201511 yr Hi! Im also in the process of registering myself in NMC but I know that some of your are aware of the salary limit imposed my the UK Home office (35k pounds after 5 years). If foreign nurses from 2012 are not able to reach this limit, they will be forced to leave the country if they still have only working visa. Right now, I'm just curious/ worried on what do employers offer (to those who have) regarding JOB SECURITY after 5 years. The 35k salary in under band 7 salary grade and it is usually obtained by those who are in administrative work, specialists or more than 5 years of service. Some of my friends in UK are now starting looking for another country and this makes me skeptical.Info:Band 1 to 4 - salary grade for nursing assistant (HCA)Band 5 and above - salary grade for nurses.
Aug 8, 201511 yr Hi Happy BirthdayWhen did you sit the CBT?Your best bet is to contact the NMC Overseas registrations regarding this.
Aug 9, 201511 yr NMC have updated the application portal. You can now view when they received your documents and can even see the time..
Aug 9, 201511 yr @nilasingnahiponthank you! :) i'm booked for the 29th of sept @ 12nn. I'm still reading marsden at the moment. Struggling to finish it! An OSCE skills book by Merriman is helpful as well but it basically just talks about what osce is.. And has some sample situations you might get during the exam..but knowledge base, i'd still go for marsden. xx
Aug 9, 201511 yr @UK Gal and @kizmwah. I just created my nmc account three months ago and I just took the cbt last Friday. I dont understand what went wrong. I was not expecting my application to expire so soon. Yes Im going to give them a call on Monday morning.
