hello!

Thanks for sharing your timeline...what is the latest update on your registration?...since they received your unregistered practice form already?...

I sent a PM to you today, if you can please check it.

Congrats in advance!

ha... they received it last monday but as usual, not scanned yet on their system.. another 10 days - same answer as usual.. i update soon..

Thanks for replying!...

I would like to share to you my situation, in case you know someone in your hospital who are experiencing my problems. I just submitted my pack 2 documents this november, and since I do have ksa experience, I am worried that additional documents will be required. However, our agency here in the Philippines and their partner agency (King's College recruitment) are processing our visa applications already (COS issued last november). They also send nurses to UK even though they are just waiting for their DL. Their planned deployment for us is this coming January 2015. (I am assigned for Addenbrooke's hospital)

But I really do not want to be deployed while NMC has not reviewed my file yet.

I would appreciate your insight about this matter.

Thanks in advance!

as long as u can secure all the required verifications u should be fine.. specially police clearance, unregistered practice verification forms. In my case, i already finished onp and already paid my initial registration but they still asked me to provide this forms. Another problem is on the last stage which is the ID check, they will verify again your registration online.

I would just like to ask one more thing, in your hospital, they are also accepting nurses from the philippines who do not have a DL yet, and they will work first as HCAs?...then once DL is issued, they will then proceed with the ONP? (because I think this is what will happen to us)

Thanks for your replies! I am very much worried because of the strict processing of NMC...that if they would find any mistake in my pack 2, I would have to process the papers again, and wait in line again (because it takes them 1month before they assess our files).

I sent you a PM, can you please check it and I would appreciate your response.

Thanks again!

Hey, I'm suprised they are moving you over to the UK even though some of you don't have DL yet? It took me about 2 years to get my decision letter, and I'm still going because I chose to do the new testing (part 1 and 2) instead of OSCE. But I don't think you can do the OSCE anymore either.

I suspect they might want you to work as a HCA first for as long as it takes you to get registered in UK, because they need HCAs....

How nice you got the chance to go without DL. I am having problem with second pack. I cleared an interview and have job offer but have not yet received my DL

OSCE is still a requirement. This as per the NMC website

Test of competence - part two

The second part of the test of competence will assess an applicant's clinical

knowledge. The test is an objective-structured clinical examination (OSCE) and can

only be completed in the UK. The test will be administered by the University of

Northampton who will administer their own test fee in agreement with us. Applicants

will need to contact the university directly to book and pay for their test.

Also I do not think the UK needs HCA's you are given a job as a HCA to get you used to working in the NHS whilst waiting for your NMC registration to be complete. When I worked in the UK there was no shortage of HCA's and many others where training to be a HCA
