i posted in the introductions board but thought i should post here as well.

i'm casey, 33 years old and live in dover. i've lived in england for over 3 years now but am originally from america.

i will be taking my access course this year and then hopefully next year starting nursing school in canterbury. my children (4 year old twins) will be starting reception next month so it's time for me to go back to school as well.

:)

Welcome - you'll find this forum sooooooooo addictive! My husband has said he's beginning to feel left out & neglected!:lol2: I just told him that I was trying to do the best for us & gather as much information as possible!! Truth is it's just plain fun & I love to read posts about nursing in other places!

Good luck in your studies!

hello and welcome

good luck with your course, it sounds like youve got your hands full:roll

hi and thanks for the welcomes so far!

i'm planning to nurse here in the uk although there's always that 1% chance we move back to america one day. really, i prefer living here, though. :)

im being nosey :)

what age did you come to the UK and why do you prefer it to the USA?

just wondered as i and many others on here are trying to get to the USA

Hi and welcome

Hope your training goes well just 1 word of warning try to get hours in midwifery, paeds, mental health, community as well as general adult just on the off chance you do decide to move back to the US as UK nurse training doesn't always meet the criteria. Has to be both theory as well as practical

:welcome: pleased to meet you and hope you enjoy alkl nurses we got a great bunch here
