Hi everyone I start LPN school in June and finding this site is the best i came across yet. I get on everyday to read all the articles and find them very helpful and interesting. Needless to say Iam starting nursing school late in life (but its been a dream of mine for a long time) so here i go.Iam sure I'll be using this site as I travel on my journey:redbeathe

Congratulations on your acceptance into nursing school!
I'm taking a break from my pharm studying, and seeing your excitement is motivating! I can't believe how fast this semester has passed (only one week left). Just remember, when things seem tough (the endless studying, etc.), the semester WILL come to an end!!! Make sure to keep your eye on the "prize" and push yourself the extra bit, every day!
Good luck!

welcome!
I just finished my lvn program dec 07.
there will be good days, and there will be bad days. just remember to take one day at a time.
watch your back from school classmates, sometimes there may be some back stabbers or jealous people.
TRY to take criticism in a positive way. ( evaluations are 10% focused on things you do well and 90% is focused on ALL you can improve on... ..meaning... all you do BAD)
In the clinical setting, if your friendly and willing to help, you will have no problem having a staff buddy (LVN or RN) help you out.
godd luck to you.

Welcome! I didn't start LPN school until I was 39 and I wasn't even the oldest one in the class. :)

Good luck! I just got accepted myself, at age 39 as well. I will be going part time though, as I still have to work. Still, I'm so excited I am finally realizing my dream. :w00t:
I thank you all for nice responses--and you made me feel so welcomed to this site-but my age is far off from 39--iam starting nursing school at the age of 55, i figure i have at leaset 10 yrs to do what i always wanted--better late then never:yeah:
