Got this new job in south ca and intended to land in a sub-acute unit. During orientation, an LVN knew that I don't have much experience in such unit so he threatened to report the matter to the "State". So I ended up in a dementia-alzheimers unit. Is the LVN's argument legit?

??????????????? He was going to report what to the state??? That you were a new nurse??? No regulations about being new. Does he call the local hospital every time they hire a new nurse? Yikes, he needs to get over himself. Speak to the DNS or administrator if you really want to work sub-acute.
