Good luck on your test. I will be taking mine tomorrow and I'm already so nervous. My fate of this year acceptance will be decided on this test. If I don't do well, I will have to wait next year

Good luck!!!

I just got my test results back today!!!

There are a lot of percentage questions, which I am really weak in, but I found the overall test to be pretty easy.

Angelica

Jr and Breakfree,

Good luck to both of you. The NET can throw so many people off, but it is not nearly as tough as some make it out to be. The tricky part is being able to keep your cool on a timed test. Keep us posted on how well y'all do!

well, i think i did pretty well on it. i left feeling good about it, so now i just have to wait the 3 weeks to get my results. but at least its done!

I assume you took paper format, right? I'm going to do the computer format to get the immediate result today in the afternoon. Did you study using the study guide before taking this test?

yes, it was the paper test. i studied using the book and a website that someone posted on here. i felt well-prepared for the test. now i am just going to have such a hard time waiting for the results! i wish i got them right away like you!

I have some bad news. I didn't do nearly good as I thought I would be, but comparing to the first test, I'm improved. The part that I didn't do well was the math and reading sections, where they gave us 90 questions with 30 minutes and 20 minutes with 40 questions of timing. So, I guess again I'm on hold :o

What were your NET scores?

Please, could you tell me about NET?

Could you give me a link to practice it?

Skazka,

Here is a great link for practicing. http://hfcclab.info/NET/index.htm

The NET has been scaring people on here, but the trick is knowing that it is timed, so don't stick too long on any one particular question. The math is just basic adding, subtracting, mult. and division, and very basic algebra. This site should help you alot. The reading is the tricky part, as it is a scientific reading that is a little more difficult than basic reading tests. But, it can be done. Just take a deep breathe, and go in calm. Good luck~

I found a site called http://www.townsendpress.net if you anyone is looking for practice exercises to help review for the NET. It has great practice exercises for the reading portion and the grammar part of the test. (If your school has a grammar portion) I took the NET once so far and got a 93 on math but I didn't do so great on the reading portion. Apparently I am a very slow reader. I only got about halfway thru and I had to guess on the rest of the reading questions. I have a 4.0 average in my college work so I didn't really think I would have much of a problem with the reading section. I should have spend more time practicing and timing myself with the reading. I never timed myself like I did with the math. I have since downloaded a speed reading software and I have already seen an improvement in my reading speed. Hopefully all this reading pays off later in the week when I take the NET again.

The below link is a NET Preparation Workbook which is another tool to help with the reading portion of the test. I think I found this link on this website.
