nervous

I took my TEAS (nursing entrance test), and I'm so scared about getting the acceptance letter next week. I took the test this past Wednesday and I did okay. I did very well in the science portion 100% to be exact (no boasting), but they told me that their looking for a 35% and I got a 23%. They said I scored low on the reading comprehension, I feel that it was because it was the first part of the test, which was when I was the most nervous. I felt more at ease after the first part of the test, which explains why I scored high on the physics, physical science, and A&P. Funny though I didn't expect to score that high. But I don't think it matters, because they obviously didn't like my overall score. I also did well on the English 90%, and math too. I don't understand how that score works. Well all I wanted to say that I studied so hard for this test approx. 3 months, non-stop and well I'm so discouraged. I know we all do at one point or another, but I just needed to vent and let it all out. I really want to become a nurse, and I really want to go to this school. I hope you can all take a lil' time to pray for me, thanks.

aww, well it's something you can take again, no? I'm not familiar with the TEAS but sounds like you did great on the math and science portions. Did you study those aspects more heavily? I think I read other posters had done that, they were concerned about math/science and they neglected to look over how the reading comprehension worked. It helps if you get an idea of what they are looking for on those types of tests.

No more stressing, what's done is done, can't change it. You can only start planning for alternatives if you don't get in. Prayer headed your way!

Good luck and keep us updated.

If you don't get in, and have to retake the TEAS, you will know what to expect.

Good luck!!! Don't give up!

I am not familiar with the TEAS so I cant really give you any input. I do wish you good luck and will definitely include you in my prayers. I do know how nerve wrecking it can be! Hang in there, I keeping my fingers crossed that you will get your acceptance letter. Keep us posted!

Thank you for all the support all of you have given me. I've been so calm since I last wrote back. I believe it was prayer from everyone. I'm usually a nervous wreck when it comes to test results, and lately I've been okay with the fact that I might not get accepted. I definitely am considering other options. If I don't get accepted I'm not going to give up, but rather apply for other schools, work and save money. Thanks again.
