NELRP is there a thread?

Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

I hope I am looking in the right place. All I have ever seen is one page that says I have submitted the application and all supporting documents and it is "under completeness review". APN Tier 2 100%

Happy to hear some e-mails are going out!

keep your hopes up!!!! i've been reviewing the documents from hrsa for 2012 and it says up to 50% reserved for np's, up to 20% for nurse faculty.....so that leaves at least 30% for nurses.......i haven't seen any posts from rn's yet so i am hoping they are on the way!!!! it should be clicking away now!!!! good luck everyone!!!!

"under completeness review"??? I don't think I have heard of that one? Watch your email to make sure they don't need more information? They contacted me by email for additional information.

thank you tgonzalez! it's been so long since feb that sometimes i find myself thinking there is no way i am going to get awarded and my two babies and i will end up having to move into a one room dump so i will be able to make loan payments. (thank goodness i have been able to get a deferment for a little while!) i am happy for all that have finally received the email:)

I was getting very discouraged myself, but then another faculty got an email, and the next day I got mine. She was tier 1, and I'm tier 2. So maybe they are finishing up with faculty, and moving on to non-faculty, non-NP RNs now. Have you applied for income based repayment with your loan servicer? It will lower your payment, and then in 10 years whatever is left unpaid will be forgiven if you have been working in a facility that qualifies as public service. There's new legislation that is trying to decrease the ten year period down to 5 years, so there may be hope for all of us not to be straddled with these loans forever!!! I hope your email comes soon.

There's no thread for NELRP participants who applied for their third year of funding/contract continuation... but I am just finishing up my two year contract at the end of this month and finally see an award letter and award worksheet w/ payment info on the portal website. My application does still say "Under review." I think it's probably safe to say I've been approved for the contract continuation. I tell you though, this portal is way better than when I first applied! We had to stalk the mailman waiting for the official word because there was no portal! And at least through the portal you can get an idea of where you are in the grand scheme of things! Congrats to all of you who have been accepted, it's a great program that I'm very thankful to be a part of!

My coworker showed me her application.. We filled it out the exact same.. loan info documents and all..

My Debt to income ratio is 109% and hers is 48%..

She has email and i do not..

any ideas anybody?

We are both NP's

I really dont remember.. But it sounds like you still have a great shot...

In last years blogs people got emails like until august 20 something. then all mention of them stop..

so there is still i hope! hang in there!

Just a question? For those that have received emails, when you view your submitted application, under the documents? Do you have an award letter and an award worksheet listed?

I never looked until just now, but I have the award letter/worksheet listed in the application, can't read it though
