NELRP is there a thread?

Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

I wish we had some more RN's here to get a little more perspective of how things are moving along. There's gotta be an RN somewhere that has heard something!!

I have been following this thread for quite a while, although this is my first time commenting. I am an APN (non-NP), so I am in the RN group. I have not received an email yet, and my application status still says 'submitted'. I have a ratio of 115% and am Tier 1. Everyone here has such a great attitude - that is really nice to see. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I just have a feeling that I am not going to be a recipient. I feel like even though I went over my application about 100 times before submitting it that I had an error somewhere and my app will automatically be thrown out. I, like many of you, check my application and this thread so many times per day. This wait is driving me crazy!!

I am also an RN. My ratio is 108% and I feel like the wait has been dragging forever! still haven't heard anything. I really hope I get this! Does anyone know what the ratio is usually for RNs that receive the NELRP specifically?? By the way I think this website is awesome and even though I haven't written before, I feel such support from this thread!! Thanks to everyone for posting!

Hang in there RN's im guessing but i thinkg that the rest of august will be used to send out the emails, then september for the awards letter and then October, unfortunately notify those who were not awared... again just guessing at a timeline.

Again there is till plenty of time.. And we know for sure that RN's will get at least 30% of all the funding.. So you got to think that some of you guys will be awarded..

Keep hoping!!

Really hope you guys here something!

I agree....I think the rest of August will be the notification time for the rest of the applicants. This has been dragging on but then we knew it would!!! I think the next few weeks will be floods of emails, at least I am hoping so. I saw some previous blogs that had, I think, down to the 90% that received the awards.....I have read a ton of blogs like you...lol Even though I received the email, I check my application every day for some sign????? And I check this website....I'm obsessed!!! It is so exciting when someone receives and email.....cause it is helping someone who help people every day....cause that's what we do!!!! Good luck!!!

RN 137% Tier 1 and still no email! i think all the NP and faculty have to be awarded first! I need this so bad! i just keep praying everytime i check my email... i would be so grateful! I really don't want to have to reapply...

Hi Liz....I hope we hear soon too! Maybe they are finishing up with the NPs and faculty now and will get to us soon...good luck!

I agree with everyone else, the RN's should/hopefully will be hearing things soon. We get a minimum of 30% of the funding, so one of us RN's are bound to get emails soon. I know everyone is stressing out, I know I am. Im just trying to stay positive. We only have a month and half before we find out one way or another!

Do most of you in the RN group still have an application status of "submitted"?

No, mine says that it is under review.

Has it been under review for awhile or just recently?

It has been under review since at least March, but I'm thinking that it was sooner than that.
