need to interview someone on their nursing career ,anyone available ? Its just a few questions ,nothing long.

1. What are some advantages and disadvantages of a nursing career?

2. What type of personality is best suited for the job?

3. Are there opportunities for growth? If so what are they?

4. What other responsibilities do you have outside you're job description?

5. What negative impacts did you learn that you didn't already know?

An anonymous online message board is not the best place to turn for an interview. You never know who is sitting behind that keyboard. The person responding may truly be a nurse, or they could be a nursing student, or they could be someone who is thinking about becoming a nursing student, etc. There is no guarantee that the person answering is, in fact, a nurse. In addition, such a rigid format as typing out answers on a message board is rather limiting. When I had to interview a nurse educator, we went off on so many tangents. Not only did I get the information I needed for my assignment, I learned a lot beyond and above that. It would not have been possible without sitting down face to face and talking. Call your local hospital, nursing home, public health department, whatever. An offer of a cup of coffee can go a long way in finding a willing nurse to sit and talk for a few minutes.

For my own entertainment:

1. What are some advantages and disadvantages of a nursing career? Advantages include cute residents. Disadvantages - usually those residents are not single.

2. What type of personality is best suited for the job? Someone with a good sense of humor.

3. Are there opportunities for growth? If so what are they? Yes, I'm told that I still have 2 inches to grow over the next 2 years if I continue to ensure calcium intake.

4. What other responsibilities do you have outside you're job description? Spell checking. You used the wrong "you're" in "your" question. It is "your" in this context.

5. What negative impacts did you learn that you didn't already know? This question doesn't really make sense.

By the way, I'm not a nurse.

3. Are there opportunities for growth? If so what are they? Yes, I'm told that I still have 2 inches to grow over the next 2 years if I continue to ensure calcium intake.

OMG - this actually made me laugh -- thanks
