can you please send me any good employer that petition or sponsor nurses here at the Philippines? thank you very much!!

hi, i dont know if i am doing the right thing. if you are desperate to work here in US, the hospitAL where i work is directly hiring nurses from the philippines provided they have visa screen and work experience. the thing is, they only offer $19/hr. 20 nurses arrived last feb and 10 are coming. it is only an H1C visa because we all know that there is retrogression. if you are interested, just PM (private message) me...:nuke:

I heard recently brought Filipino nurses to Sinai Hospital here in Baltimore. However in light of current retrogression they are coming in on H1 (working) visa. The drawback to this is that it is possible that the spouse is not allowed to work as compared to the immigrant petition wherein the spouse is allowed to work.

I believe they have a Manila Office. You may contact them directly. Don't send me any details as to who you are lest it be construed that I am gainfully employed by the said agency.

can H1C visa be renew if your working contract expires?

and can the nurse applied for green card while on H1C visa?

Please be aware that H1c is specific to only a few hospitals and is up for review in 2010 and may not be renewed. Also if there are any issues and you loose your job or pack our job in you have to find another hospital that meets the criteria and offer you work or have to leave the US.

Much has already been written on the H1C

Better to go direct hire with hospitals in the areas you want to work. Many at the moment are reluctant due to retrogression but that does appear to be moving forward now all be a bit slow it has jumped well for a few countries

Hi, bcpamisa. I know someone who is very interested about your hospital sponsoring nurses but I don't know where to PM you. Any chance for you to share it here or tell me to PM you? Sorry... I really suck at computer.. maybe technology in general...:scrying:.. ty

If that hospital hasn't tried to recruit from within this country, I hope they get caught and are forced to pay a stiff penalty. This is rediculous since our nation has many unemployed nurses. I'd like to know the name of the hospital (don't think anyone would tell me) so I can turn them in.

Employers can only petition, it's up to the immigration and the labor department to approve these petitions and issue visas... true, there is no real shortage of nurses... common sense, maybe?

really? on what grounds? :chuckle:chuckle:chuckle

There are only 500 visas for all that are under the H1-C visa, if they are all being used, then it does not matter what the facility wants to do. And this number is for all of the 14 facilities that are on the list that can use this temporary visa.

Much has changed since last April as a start as well as the H1-C visa expiring in 2010 and we do not think that it will be renewed.

Any hospital that wishes to employ a foreign nurse must post the job in the facility for a ten day period and then post it to outsiders for at least about a month period, that is why there is always a lag even when one is being petitioned before any documents can be submitted. Verification of this needs to be submitted with any petition, even for temporary work visas.

One must also possess a license for that specific state before anything can be submitted as well. This is a requirement with any of the temporary visas.
