Need some input how to approach HR

I have a friend who helped me by handed my resume to the HR who possibly be hiring nurses. I got the number and names. Now I am no my own. I applied for the position and attempted to contact the person. So far I have no luck. I have not able to speak with the person. Always got someone else on the phone. So, I just don't want to call every couple hours. They get annoy of me. What should I do? What would be the right approach? I really want this job.

put on your nicest professional-looking outfit (no tank tops, no sandals, minimal makeup and less jewelry) and go there. say your resume has been sent in already and you would like to make out an application (you'll need a passport or driver's license, so be sure you have one of them), and if it's possible, could you kindly see ms. x? if the answer is yes, be nice. if it's no, still be nice, but say, "i understand. in that case, can i please make an appointment to see her? when would be convenient?"

our hospital only uses the online applications. So a phone call would not help

Agreed with GrnTea, nowadays there are so many applicants that more than likely your application or resume gets lost in the shuffle. Go there and ask to make an appointment. You look much more driven that way and will stand out among the masses of other applications and resumes they receive.
