NEED HELP!!! What else can you do with nursing courses if you did not pass final

Published

Hi!! To all!!!

It's great to have all of you here to ask questions. I hope somebody can help with this question.

Anybody know other areas of the health field that might have close to the same pay scale as nursing and may be able to apply the prereqs of nursing?

Specializes in Peri-op/Sub-Acute ANP.

You won't earn as much as you would as a nurse, but as a certified surgical technologist (CST) you can make a pretty good living. Certainly worth looking into and many of the pre-reqs are similar if not the same. Like NS, however, there can be a waiting list for a place.

Another thing worth looking into might be X-ray tech, although I personally think CST is a lot more fun!

Take a look at the web page of some of the local community colleges around you, and see what allied health programs they offer. I think you will be surprised at how much is out there.

Specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner.

Again you won't make the money of a nurse but a Veterinary Technician AA degree is almost identical to the ADN. The specialities like cardiology, dental specialist and othropedic surgery pay their RVTs pretty good but but not as much as nursing, great job though. Good luck.

Depending on on far you were into the program, you may be able to finish the RN through Excelsior College......just a thought.

I did great in pre reqs and then again got by which I thought would be okay. I thought if I had a B then I would be a good nurse. now in finall semester I have not retained the knowledge along the way. I am not doing this for the money but for the want and need of me to provide great nursing care and affection. where is there a course even 2 months that can get me in the mode of passing nclex california?

Specializes in med/surg, telemetry, IV therapy, mgmt.
