Hi.
I was checking a criteria for the admission.
"The degree plus student is expected to meet with the pre-nursing advisor for advisement and plan development. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and follow all admission requirements set forth in the Basic Nursing Track. A minimum of 30 credit hours must be taken at University of *** or more based on the students plan. Due to the intensity of the curriculum it is advised that the student not work and be able to attend to their studies full-time. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout their nursing courses."
What i am confused about is here "A minimum of 30 credit hours must be taken at University of *** or more based on the students plan."
Does it mean that I need to have taken 30 hrs prior to admission, or that i need to take 30 hrs after that?
It's so confusing. I already sent an email to make sure a week ago, but they didn't answer yet.
Please help.

I think they mean you need to take 30 credit hours at THAT university as part of your plan. Most schools require a minimum amount of credits to be taked at their school before they grant you a degree.

i read it to mean that once you attend the program, you are required to attend 30 credit hrs at a time & maintain a gpa of 3.0. i dont think anyone could work and maintain that courseload and gpa requirements. good luck!

Full-time is usually 12-17 credit hours...So I don't think it's saying 30 hours must be taken at a time.
I think you have to take at least 30 hours at that University before they will let you graduate from there.
In other words, you can't take 120 hours at a community college, transfer over, take 6 credits (say 1 or 2 classes) & then graduate from the "University of *****".

Yes, I agree with Fun2care. Our college has the same rule. An X number of credit hours must be taken there so they can grant you a degree. If you don't have enough to complete the minimun then you must re-take courses so you do.
I don't think it's possible to take 30 credits at a time.
omg! Thank you so much guys.
I was so confused about it. Thank you again!!
Hope I can help with you, too!!

what is says is you have to take 30 hours at that school and you have to maintain a 3.0 gpa while you're doing it.
if you took 30 hours of credits, you'd be taking ten classes a week. that's not even logical. every catalog for every university says something similar to the above statement. they're saying you can't have 24 credit hours left and only take 24 hours total at university x and expect to get a degree. you have to graduate from there with at least 30 hours' worth of credits.

I read it the same way.
