In the Tampabay area there is Erwin Tech, Keiser Career College, Galen Institute, Pasco Hernando Community College, Pinellas Tech Educational Centers in Clearwater and St. Pete and Websters College in Holiday.

Specializes in Level III cardiac/telemetry.

In Tulsa, OK Tulsa Technology Center has a program for around $3000, but there's a really long waiting list - welcome to my world!

There's also a couple in Oklahoma City but I'm not sure who...maybe Francis Tuttle? Don't even bother with Platt - it's ridicuously expensive and not worth it from what I've been told.

Good luck!

what is the cost of the programs in Tampa, FL?

Specializes in med/surg, telemetry, IV therapy, mgmt.

At the top right side of this page is a drop down menu for "Links". Click on "Boards of Nursing". Links to the California Board of Nursing and the California Board of Vocational Nursing are on the first page that comes up. Once on the website there will be a link that takes you to a list of all the LVN programs in California. California also has a category called Licensed Psychiatric Tech--these are, basically, LVNs who work in psychiatric facilities.

Specializes in Ante-Intra-Postpartum, Post Gyne.

In California we have LVNs...I am not sure what the tuition is for out of state residents, a lot I am sure. But at the Jr. College, after you have become a California resident (I think you have to live here a year) it is only $23 a unit.

State Colleges (which only have BSN) run $456 for 1-6 units abd $786 for 6.1 or more units (if you are a resident) It is more for the UC colleges but I am not sure of the prices

In Texas there is (NTPCI) North Texas Professional Career Institue which runs bout 17,500.

The cost for the Tampa school is around $3500.

Specializes in Med/Surg, Tele, Peds, LDRP.

Orlando Tech in Orlando, FL costs around $3500 too, and if u dont qualify for a pell grant they also have a financial need scholarship that is easy to get where it covers everything except books and uniforms! I got it and all I have to do was show them a check stub showing my current income and I was only part time bc I was planning to work part time while in school. Through the local workforce center I also got State Boards paid for ($400 or so), and an IV certification course. It was such a relief to get the help to pay for it bc otherwise I have no idea how I would have come up with the money.

in texas there are several

in san antonio texas there are:

galen health institute 14,000

st. phillips college 3,000-3,500

texas careers 20,000

baptist school of nursing --- free if you stay and do the 1-2 year of req. free service

Concorde is 18,500....w/FA it's doable!

LPN schools in California (1 hr. north of Los Angeles) run 25000 - 18000, 1 yr long. My decision was the 18000 because at the local Jr. College the wait list is 36 mos long (or 2 classes away) and I can't wait that long! I think most have financial aid.
