Need to find an accelerated BSN program that I can get into!

I am new to this website, but I did try to research this topic before deciding to ask this in a post. Please forgive me if there is a post already out there on this, I have not found it.

I was wondering if there is a website/book that gives a list of all of the schools offering an Accelerated Second Degree BSN program, along with its information (such as length of program, application deadline, application requirements, pre-reqs, etc.)

I am interested in any 12 month program, and from all the research I have done, I have only found websites that give a list of all schools that offer an Accelerated BSN program, but that's it...I would have to go to each individual school's website to obtain any more information than that.

If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it :)

That might be what you have to do. Also, keep in mind that one year programs sometimes become 18 month+ programs if you have to repeat a class. I went to Drexel's ACE program, which is a year, and 33% of our class failed a class in halfway through so either had to repeat or transfer or reconsider if they wanted to do nursing. And that rate is pretty consistent for other cohorts too.

Wondering what schools you applied to. I have a BS in Psychology and looking at accelerated/second degree programs. I live in New York, and it is very competitive. I am considering moving more west, but an unfamiliar with the programs out there. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had a BS in psych; I am actually from the west coast and went to nursing school / work as a nurse on the East Coast because it was so hard to get into nursing school and get a job on the West Coast. I think about 1/6 of my class was from California and even more were from Western States (Oregon, Colorado, Washington, etc).

When I was looking at schools I looked up the state's board of nursing and looked through their accredited nursing programs list (also it will tell you what the school's NCLEX pass rate is, it's not perfect, but it's a good way to gauge how the school is doing as far as preparing you to get your license).

Hey allI am a current student at Brookline college in Phoenix AZ. It is a new program with its first graduating class in August. I was in the same boat trying to find a second degree program. I ended up moving to Phoenix and stumbled across this program. It was nice because there was no wait list as long as you had the prereqs. I recommend looking into it if you are interested.

I've tried Google and AACN with limited success.

Are you looking for ABSN programs that can be completed in a calendar year? This would require current completion if co/pre req's such as A&P 1/2, micro, patho, psych, nutrition, biochem etc. I'm not sure such a program exists. The 'quickest ' I've seen is 18 months with completing a summer term so that all disciplines & specialties are adequately covered in clinical. & theory.
