You don't say what test. If you have test anxiety, see your doc and maybe you can get a very limited amount of a mild anti-anxiety med to keep you from having such bad anxiety.
No more than 3-4 pills. Take one prior to doing a practice test to see if you can stay calm. Don't read too much into the answers, they are usually pretty straightforward.
Best wishes, and try to stay calm.

Help, I am studying for the CNA certification in Florida. I have never been paid for taking care of anyone. I never left home, in 1982 my father had a couple of strokes. I assisted my Mom take care of my father. In March my Mom passed away. I lost my job as a licensed journeyman electrician in 2009. It was a blessing, because I was able to care for my Mom. I knew her time on this earth was ending. Mom suffered from pulmonary hypertension. I have 29 years of experience taking care of my parents. Will consideration be given for my experience? Actually, I was paid with knowledge. I believe I have a calling for nursing, and hope to enroll in the LPN program at the local college. I think that my experience is valuable, can someone give me some advice?

When you do the practice tests, do you read the rationale's for why the "best" answer is the "best"? Be sure to read the rationales -- this is the best way to understand NCLEX logic well enough to narrow down your choices even on questions where you're unsure of the content.
Good luck!

Please try to relax before you even try to do the studying. Clear your mind. Take a walk. And no distractions. No phone or anything! Make sure u eat a snack but nothing starchy or heavy. No coffee. It will make u jittery. Eat carrots and nuts or banana.... You will do just fine. Remember mind over matter!

Don't know about your calling. Back in the good old days, If you wanted to do bedside care, you became an LPN. LPN's knew the how's. The RN's knew the why's. But in Nursing today, everybody should know the how's and why's. The lines between LPN and RN are becoming obscure. if caring was all that was needed then anyone could be a nurse. Sometimes you have to mix compassion with heartlessness, truthfulness with lying. Seek hope where there is no hope and always hide your tears, and there will be many, until your shift is over. Having said all that I just want to say, welcome to the wonderful world of nursing. Come in Peace and may your gods come with you.
