Help, I am studying for the CNA certification in Florida. I have never been paid for taking care of anyone. I never left home, in 1982 my father had a couple of strokes. I assisted my Mom take care of my father. In March my Mom passed away. I lost my job as a licensed journeyman electrician in 2009. It was a blessing, because I was able to care for my Mom. I knew her time on this earth was ending. Mom suffered from pulmonary hypertension. I have 29 years of experience taking care of my parents. Will consideration be given for my experience? Actually, I was paid with knowledge. I believe I have a calling for nursing, and hope to enroll in the LPN program at the local college. I think that my experience is valuable, can someone give me some advice?
