Hello Nurses,

I am very disappointed right now. Can anyone please guide me that where i should apply or any kind of advice.

Thank you.

I've never heard of "RPN" what does that stand for?

Hello dear,

RPN stands for registered practical nurse or licenced practical nurse.

I've NEVER heard of it being called RPN only LPN or LVN. But anyhoo, that's a pretty general question you asked. Instead of posting it in the General Nursing Discussion, maybe you should try posting it in "Region" so you can find out specifically where they are hiring in your area. :)

Specializes in NICU, Peds, Med-Surg.

You didn't say where you live, but if you're in the U.S, (only because I don't know about other countries)---are you interested in a nursing home, LTAC, assisted living, home health, or a doctor's office?

In the state I live in, MANY nursing homes and LTACS are hiring LPNS (RPN), as well as MANY doctor's offices. If you are wanting a position in an acute-care hospital, very few seem to hire RPN (LPN/ LVN) anymore. :( But don't let what I say stop you---look at the large hospitals' websites---they may just have some LPN positions!

Good Luck! It is not easy out to find jobs out there anymore!

Where do you live? I also just graduated and now I am an RPN. I jsut got a job in a long term care facility.

Specializes in Med-Surg.

I though RPN is a registered psychiatric nurse... same as an RN but only practice in their psych specialty :) We have them here in Canada :)

Obviously I cannot read :) Sorry guys, I did not see that it was clairified that the OP was a registered practical nurse (LPN :)

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

Moved to the Canadian Nurses forum.

Thank you guys for help.

I live in brampton, Ontario in canada. It is getting very hard here finding a job as new graduate because everywhere experience is first demand which i dont have.

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

I would try applying everywhere that has a job opening, even if it states experience required. I know that Woodhall Park in brampton did have some postings a while ago but I am not sure if they are still looking. Did you try Brampton Civic? Good luck.

Hello dear,

Thanks for replying, yes i have applied at brampton civic but didn get any reply.

I did apply at woodhall park a while ago but not recently.
