NCLEX question

Published

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me if Saunders practice questions mimic the NCLEX the closest and are the most challenging? I am getting consistent 70s and an occassional 80 something here and there. Is this good??? Should I be answering more challenging questions? Thankssss!

I used that book and i like it.Just passed my exam this year.

Thought Saunders was the easiest of all the review material, but I think any comprehensive test and review book will help you be successful, as long as you are going through the rationales for the 30% you are not getting right the first time.

I do think it will be important to see other styles of questions, check what your college library has. Mosby's was a bit more challenging, I shared ATI and Kaplan with a fellow student.

I know many people say Saunder's is most like NCLEX. That was not true for me, but I think it had to do with the way the CAT was "adapting" to me ... The friend I shared material with had a very similar test (of course we didn't share questions - but did discuss the topics and number of SATAs (almost 1/2 our questions)). Maybe if I just did Saunder's, I would have passed and had a much different test :p

Good memory and problem solving skills (luck isn't a huge factor)!

I found the LaCharity Prioritization & Delegation book ot be most similar to NCLEX. I also used the Saunders, I think it helped cover a lot of content. BUt I would grab the LaCharity book used online (saave yourself some cash) and give it a quick review. It is not a large book, but was the most helpful.

It would not matter since you won't find the identical questions on the test. What matters is learning the material well enough so that you can answer questions correctly no matter how they are worded.
