NCLEX Predictors etc

Check your state BON website. Quite often you can check your status online. Usually results are posted within 48 hours.

Well...I finally wrote the NCLEX. I got in the 70's with 2 Kaplan exams. I was told that if I got into the 60's, I would probably do fine on the NCLEX. Well, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I have no idea how I did. Not many of the questions seemed "easy". PLus, people say less questions is a good sign (75 that is). I had about 150ish.

Also, I'm assuming it will take longer to get results over x'mas. What do you think?

I think that none of us can guess. People pass and fail with every number between 75 and 265. But if it helps, most people are convinced they've failed, and yet they pass.

If you tested in a State that has the Pearson Vue Quick Results, you will get them in 48 hours by calling the telephone number provided, or visiting their website. If not, it's up to whatever's going on at the State BON. Getting your actual, physical license may take more time depending on the State and the backlog. The busiest time for any of them, though, is the summertime: more graduates take their exams within the first few months than at any other time.

I just passed the NCLEX with 75 and felt HORRIBLE coming out. None of the review classes, ATIs, class exams, or review books, really got the feel of it. It's designed so that even the better students get a substantial number wrong, which makes you feel really bad when you're used to doing well on tests. Anyway, the ATI predicted accurately for me; the professor who said that scoring over 70 % on the review tests would do it was right.

I think NCLEX consumes glucose like you would not believe and makes you feel worse. Several classmates and I came out cold and shaking even after good breakfasts; my brain was fogging during the test. For those who haven't taken it yet, if you feel like you need to eat at 30 questions, take your break then. You don't have to hold out for 75.

YIKES - I just took the nclex this morning and SWEAR I missed them all! I was "cut off" at 79 questions and just before that I thought .... at least there are 250+ questions to keep trying on b/c I'm SURE I don't know these. I am beside myself. $57,000 and 5 years to get through college (BSN program) and at my old age - I think I did NOT pass. The smartest guy in our class was still seated taking the exam when I walked out. ....and my job in cardiology (working as a GN for 3 months) hinges on passing. I will not be able to sleep for the next 48 hours. Did anyone else get cut off early and feel like EVERY question they answered was wrong? I got very few questions regarding delegation, teaching, assessment - prioritization and yet I passed Kaplan's readiness test at around 68% and the ATI exams up in the highest range which indicated a 98% chance of passing the NCLEX. I felt like a total dope when I couldn't even remember what FOOD had iron in it.... Anyone else stressing today? Moral support and information APPRECIATED AND DESIRED ~ !

I ended up taking ALL the questions. That was 6 years ago. The test anxiety was like I had never experienced before. I am one to finish a test first and never second guess myself. I almost threw up during the nclex and was also cold and clammy. Very nerve racking. I think it is because we think our lives hinge on passing or failing this test.

I just took my NCLEX this morning and feel the exact same way. I wanted more questions because I figured there was no way I proved myself yet. I also got a 98% on the ATI predictor. Have you found out if you passed yet?

I did pass!!!

I should have announced earlier, but I wanted take a break from thinking about it I guess.

So, in my case, the Kaplan predictors were accurate. I never took the ATI predictors.
