I took my Nclex PN today. It was hard....or so I thought. The computer shut off after 87 questions. Does that mean that I failed. I am hoping that I did well and was above the standard ..............I have to wait till Tuesday next week to find out.....It's going to be a long weekend. And the sad part is if I fail...........I have to wait 45-90 days to retake it. I did well in school, ..........but this was different..........and then the way the computer just shuts off..........
Anyone with prior Nclex PN experience????? How was it for you?

I'll be taking my exam in a few weeks, but I've been reading tons of posts from others wondering how many questions and failure rates. The answers have all been about the same. The computer gives you enough questions to see if you're 'competent'. It will shut off when it has enough info. There really is no magic number. Good luck and keep us posted!

There is no way to predict how you did, that is the nature of CAT. Hang in there whilst you wait for your results. Good luck

I took my nclex on july 31st...it shut off after 85..i felt pretty stupid when i left. I swore I failed, that i was so dumb..i would never pass. My friend took hers and it went to 101 questions. I had another that took 95 questions...and we all passed!!
Its crazy cause you leave the building with no idea of what just happened!

I took my test today 8/2 ..Being by it's a Saturday, I guess I have to wait till Tues. Is it 2 business days or just 2 days....To me it was hard and the computer shut off after 85...My friend that went with me to take hers, the computer shut off at 96...There were some drugs that I had never seen before and I had no clue. I am so anxious and nervous just waiting for the results. Dont think I did well...
If quick results with pearsonvue then it is 48 hours from the test. If the BON then that will depend on them and when they update their system.
Good luck
In south dakota the BON updated their site in 26 hours! It was the LONGEST 26 hours of my life!

I took my NCLEX exam on August 1, 2008. I do want to let you know that the myth about getting the last one wrong means you fail is not true. I was given 86 questions and the last one I answered was wrong. I know this because I stared at it so long, made a choice and when I went back to the hotel room I looked it up. It only took me 45 minutes to take the test. This made me sure I failed, but I just got word today that I passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooo excited:yeah:. I got 7 select all that apply, 6 math question, 1 put in order question, and a couple of drug questions. Everyone has a different experience with what questions they get. So hang in there as you wait and Good Luck!!!!

:confused:I took the NCLEX-PN this morning! I completely underestimated the level of anxiety that I would experience! I thought that I would be answering questions that pertained to everyday nursing situations. Instead, the questions were pretty random and the computer screen became gray after question # 85. I felt like I failed.
