nclex on 7/15! 3 more days

Only 3 more days until the BIG DAY! Im freaking out and can't believe that day is almost here. I have worked in a hospital now for 5 years as a lab tech and just got hired to work in our er as a new grad pending passing my nclex I am so scared and feel the pressure is really on. I don't feel ready to test but I also don't know If I'll ever feel ready. Any words of encouragement or last minute study tips would be amazing. Good luck to everyone testify soon.

I'll be testing with you on Monday! I really can't believe it's already here! Some days I feel completely ready...that I could "figure out" any question, but then I'll forget something and I feel so unprepared! The clock is ticking, can't wait for it to be over!

Excited for both of you! I'll be you in two years, and may I just say, AWESOME on getting an ER job straight out of the gate!

Good luck! My test is on 7/19 and my husband keeps asking me if I' ready, my response is always that it is impossible to be 100% ready! Just have faith that you have done enough prep, after all you made it through nursing school!

Read the questions slowly and carefully, sometimes just skimming over one word completely changes the question.

There are going to be questions you don't know, all you can do is try to make an educated guess and don't freak out. :)

I am also testing on the 15th. Very nervous and feeling as though I am not prepared. I just keep plugging away at the various questions from Saunders, Kaplan, etc hoping by some miracle that I will do okay on the exam. I don't even care if I have to do 265 questions, as long as I pass.

Good Luck, I tested today.. I did the PVT but I wont be happy until I see my results!

Testing on Monday as well!!! So scared and excited at the same time. I am doing kaplan, LaCharty for priority and delegation and Saunders. I am having anxiety attack everyday just thinking about it. All I can say and I've been telling my nursing friends is Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do. I will surely repeat that to myself on monday before NCLEX [= Goodluck everyone!!! We all deserve it!

I wish each and every one of you the best of luck. I just took it in may and passed. My words of advice (which Im sure you are hearing over and over) is to have faith in what you know. NCLEX is testing your ability to practice safely. Review infection control (PPE ) isolation precautions, major SE of med categories, prioritization...Most importantly, go in with confidence, take deep breaths to keep your nerves in check, read slowly and carefully all answer choices and the question, and just remember SAFETY. Good luck and let us know how it goes!!

Congrats!! PVT works!

i've been doing Kaplan and Hurst. But I'm praying I don't get alot of SATA cause I am awful at those and will for sure fail with multiples of that. Just trying my hardest to remain confident but it's really hard. Ready for this stage to be done and actually become licensed.

I'll be taking it on the 15th as well!!! I'm going to be so nervous the night before I won't be able to sleep. I'm horrible at the SATA questions too. I tried the alternate format quiz on Kaplan and got 40%. If it weren't for the fill in the blank questions on that one, it would have been even lower. I agree it's really difficult to have confidence. But it will be over before we know it!! Good luck to everyone!

I'll be taking my exam this 15th too!! i can't believe it the long wait is coming soon, i'm doing kaplan, lacharity and saunders as well, I do believe the NO ONE is ever gonna be prepared for the NCLEX since the exam is based on you. all we have to do is to discriminate the questions very carefully, avoid the "WHAT IF" syndrome", and FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS. right now i keep on doing the practice test in kaplan, gonna end studying on saturday night. and although i am only getting 50-60% in my practice test, i am not losing hope coz i am putting in my mind every rationalization. i keep to overrationalize too, so i must focus on the question being asked and not to go beyond it. WE CAN DO IT! WE HAVE A BIG GOD!!
