NCLEX computation

I had no drug calcs on the NCLEX last month when I took it. Mainly priority questions (who would you see first? what would you do first for this patient? type questions).

I took NCLEX-RN last month & passed. Had 75 questions with ZERO math computations. Lots of priority (who would you see first?) and lots of Teaching (what statement, if made by the patient, would indicate that further teaching is necessary? Which statement, if made by the patient, would indicate proper understanding of their condition?).

took nclex 3 weeks ago and passed, had 75 questions with 2 math calculations

One concept that you'll want to know is how to work IV drip calculations, converting from mL/hr to gtt/min. As you can see, math questions aren't a huge part of the exam usually, but you want to know how to do them.

Hi :) I had no math in my test and passed with 75 questions. Eric is right, definitely know how to do IV drip calculations. Also..which they taught us in Kaplan...learn how to take input and output...such as if you have ounces of a liquid or something but you have to convert it to mLs so that you can figure out the net mLs after conversion...(sorry...did that make sense???:uhoh21: ) Good luck! :)

I just did my RN last week, had 75, not a single alternate style question, much less a computation question. Lots of priority, perinatal and peds stuff though. Was kind of disappointed about the lack of math type questions, it would have boosted my confidence a bit when I left. (not that it mattered, I still passed!)
