Well, I work in Public Health, so my salary is probably lower than most! I make about $32,000 a year. I also would be interested in seeing what the rest of Indiana makes! My job does have some perks, such as no weekends or odd hours. I am salaried so if I do have any overtime, it's taken as comp time. Anyone else?

I work in a cath lab and have been an RN for 8 years. I work Mon-Fri, no weekends nor holidays, but do have to take call several nights per month and that of course, is extra money in the paycheck. I make $21.99/hour and $3/hr more when on call. With call time and overtime, I made over $56,000 last year. This is NOT in the Indianapolis market.

Good luck!

in northern indiana in LTC you can expect between 13 and 15 per hour for lpn, and 16 to 18 for rn.

How much are Indiana office nurses (rn's) making? I believe I'm woefully underpaid!

I live in northern Indiana. I've been a nurse for 3 yrs and make $16.50/hr. I only work weekend shifts so I also get $8/hr premium pay. I started off at $14.75/hr.

I have been a nurse in Northern Indiana for 9 years. I went into nursing to do something more worthwhile than factory work. I also new my sister-in-law (a nurse) made over $20.00/hour. When I graduated in '94 I got a job starting at $12.25/hr. Not too bad I thought until I found out it took 25 years at least to get to the top of the pay scale that was about $25.00/hour then. The hospitals say nursing is their biggest expenditure, well we should be were the reason the patients are in the hospital to begin with. Starting wages are now about $16.50 with a top of about $27.25, so if you don't mind stress and you do get to use your brain and can live on this kind of money while the hospital continues to try to take money and benefits away then nursing might be for you.

There is nothing else around here that pays this kind of money for me and I do love, love, love surgery

I am getting ready to graduate in May, and I have been concentrating pretty hard on the Bloomington area. They (hospital) are starting their RNs out at 17.62 (after boards); $1 more for nights, and $3 more for weekends.....not bad.....some of the best pay in southwest Indiana

I do compliance/chart reviews and I earn between 19-20.00/hr. I have been an rn for 12 years

I'm still waiting to hear how much Indiana office nurses are making. If you're out there, please share your office specialty and salary range. My salary stinks!

I have been a lpn for 20 years in LTC. I have been doing MDS/careplans for 6 years now (I am getting burned out:angryfire ) Making good money, so it will be hard to leave. 18.00 a hour.

I am an LPN. LTC pays 12 to 16-18 an hr. Hospitals do not pay as well, around 12 to 14-15 hr.

I have not worked office, but we had an RN quit a dr office and come to LTC, she was only being paid $9 by the doc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :uhoh3:

What a CHEAPscape of a doc! Good for that RN for quitting! :angryfire

I am trying to get a travel nurse assignment to Indianapolis, Indiana by the end of June. Does anyone know a great place to go work in that city?

I'm going there to spend the summer (maybe longer). :)
