Stars glad the heat has eased off

NJ22 hope it cools off a bit there

Dianah glad the pain is improving

Hi Ado

Tweety glad your symptoms appear to be improving

Yesterday was quieter. Church in the morning, then did the cooking for the week afterwards.  Lunch plans with the new friend were pushed back to next Sun, so instead I stopped by the bakery and did the laundry.  Exercised, worked on a puzzle, and relaxed the rest of the day

Sleep was bit off last night, had some very vivid dreams that I can't quite remember and feel a bit anxious this morning for no apparent reason

Today should be pretty quiet, apart from exercise.  Have a coworker off, hopefully that won't make things too crazy

Bit cooler today, upper 80s

Good afternoon.

Joe, sorry about the anxiety and sleep issues.  Hope your day goes well.

I won't talk about my GI symptoms but I'm still not 100%.  Got my GI appointment moved up two weeks to next Monday.  Hope to be better by then.

Took Waffles to the doggie ophthalmologist to the tune of over $400. But got a thorough exam and an explanation for some of her symptoms.  Her right cataract has detached but it's in a good place.  Will start her on drops for glaucoma and she has some small abrasions to her right cornea and is on an antibiotic and will follow up in two weeks.

I asked my doctor twice to get me out of Jury Duty Wednesday and she did not so far and I won't ask again.  I'm not that person so I'll just go and hope for the best. The court rejected my request even though I sent them test results and a summary of my treatment.  I need a note from the doctor.   If need be, I'll just get up when I have to.

I'll be working tomorrow to get get Wednesday off for the jury duty when I really wanted to just take Wednesday off.  Guess not.   If I'm called to sit for a case then I'll have to call off but they have my documentation already for me to do that.  Best case scenario is I call the night before and am dismissed before going in.  That happened once as they said they didn't need any people.  Maybe a judge will be on vacation.

The Tinker Report: She pooped outside yesterday afternoon, and of course I was thrilled! Half of the solid poop was the usual dog-poop brown, the second half  was definitely dark chocolate brown.....maybe that was the Reeses's cup residue? Though it WAS milk choc and not the DARK stuff she ate. Still and all, I am glad she is past the 48 hour "after-the-chocolate-ingestion" time.

She heard it thunder a while ago, woke up and looked outside at the hard rain that was pummeling down, and sighed. Looked longingly out the glass door (from the sofa) for a while, and then curled up again and closed her eyes.

SiL came this morning to do the Nannie thing. She came half-way up the stairs to my bedroom and said, "Where's the dogs harness and leash? I have to take her out quick because I'm in a hurry, and need to get to work as early as I can." (Yah, and good mornin' to you, too.) I have sent her a text asking if I am retrieving Nannie from daycare this afternoon and have yet to hear back, so I sent a second text that said "Hello?" But, I guess I should suppose I should just assume that from now on I will probably have the ends of my "days off" occupied with more Nannie-tasks. Wunnerful.

I no longer tell SiL she needs to slow down and not work quite so much. She's only 'burned out' about me saying that to her. I do think she is definitely avoiding me. New England Yankees are often misunderstood when they speak the truth. Doesn't want to hear about how much more Nannie is slipping mentally, by me telling her of some of the wacky stuff she has pulled or said, or tried to say, or THOUGHT she was saying.... And she has stopped taking Nannie over to her house once a week (used to be on Sunday afternoons) and bringing her home after supper. She foists as much as she can on BiL lately, too. So that's just all MHO, but I think I am at least partially right on this, regardless of what else might be going on in her life. This is a thorn in her saddle! But a "Crown of Thorns" for me.

I think the rain has slowed or stopped enough that I can try taking Ms. Tinker outside for a short walk. I'll carry my cell-phone just in case SiL answers my queries. Otherwise I will start out for the daycare center in an hour and 1/2, so I can get there about quarter to five. If I had enough money, I'd pay for Tuesday and Thursday daycare for Nannie as well. But I don't have the $....so....!

Three texts from SiL: "Sorry just say this at work." (?HUH?) the second message was "Yes you get Nannie today." So that's that! The third message about me just planning to pick her up each late afternoon she goes to daycare, SiL just answered "Okay."

Harumph!

Time to disengage my mind and feelings and just zombify through each day: Laundry, dishes. trash, and afternoon taxi cab, supper, TV, Nannie's bedtime.

[no w00ts for ANY of that!]

Stars, your SIL sounds a bit off.  But aren't we all.

I thought about something I said the other day about me not speaking up when I need to and I got my doctor's excuse for jury duty, so there is that.

We are stopped at the Tillamook Creamery for ice cream and cheese. It's about 75 and breezy, quite pleasant. The dogs were happy to stop, and have a nice drink of water. We met a cute little Boston terrier puppy, but he seemed "off.” Quite timid ( not his usual per owners), shaky, and nearly fell over. Saw his owner this am before we left the campground. They took little Otis to an emergency vet last night who said the dog had ingested pot! He was recovered this am. Vet said they see 1-2 cases a week. Eek!

It's looking like we can expect thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow. Then it will just get HOT again. Hubs moved the boat to the driveway this morning so he could do some work on it. In the process, he disturbed a wasp nest and got a couple of stings.
