Not sure if this was asked/answered already, but does anyone know if UCSF requires a deposit? If so, how much is it?

From previous year threads, people mention that there was no deposit. Aside note: my work authorized me the days for UCSF, but not for Columbia (who accepted me). Does anyone know if UCSF has held their committee for decision on applicants?

The admissions guy said they were meeting this past week, so in theory decisions are made and done and we're just waiting for them to post.

As I sat here expressing some surprise and lament that they haven't notified us, my significant other just made a good point (as usual). It may be a blessing in disguise that they didn't notify us so soon to Valentine's Day, because for many people, the news will be negative, thereby putting a damper on the long weekend for lots of folks.

Anyhow, I too have been checking email and this website frequently, but I guess it's time to go enjoy some free time before classes might be starting. Sending hopeful thoughts and some solidarity to us all!

@Psuche - last year's cohort was notified ON Valentine's Day proper, perhaps the admissions staff got some fallout from the rejected applicants

I'm almost positive that the committee met on Thursday and their goal was to make a final decision on Friday. If there's a delay I'd say it's probably because you guys are all very well qualified.
