Well I am in lpn school and I loathe my teacher. She is rude and very condescending to people who work in the class. I cannot believe I am sitting here spending all the money on a certificate to be treated like garbage. I am sick of people with rns behin d their name and their god complexes..Funny enough I get treated like garbage at walmart and do work and did wayyyyy better then most in my class for finals, class overall failed and I passed with a B....our area will not jire lpns in hospitals so I am stuck with nursing homes, I am scared no one would respect me in a bridge program and I will do part time warehouse work instead... hey if I cant get a job as lpn due to school schedule, I have bills to pay and I am not begging...I got better things to do.

Ok live off of warehouse work then? Is there supposed to be a question somewhere within this paragraph of whining?

You think you will be respected as a nurse? Yes my patients/families are often thankful and wonderful, however overall I would not consider myself greatly respected as an ICU RN. Even doctors get "treated like garbage" occasionally. If you don't love nursing and what you do for other people, and can make more money doing warehouse work, I would suggest sticking to that.

If your chief complaint about a bridge program is that you will not be respected enough, then you're better off in that warehouse job you spoke of.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous posts that I have ever seen on this site. You chose to go to school for your LPN; how is that someone else's fault? Sounds like you should have done your research before you started the program.

Totally agree. It seems this person just signed up on here to rant about RNs...on an RN site!

In all fairness, it's not an RN site, it's allnurses. But yea the rant was just unnecessary.
