Jul 24, 200223 yr i have class 2 days....i get out around lunch time. sometimes i stop for something on the way home....sometimes not. but it's usually around $5.on clinical days, i usually grab something on the way ($5) and then the same at lunch.
Jul 24, 200223 yr Author rena, $5.00 isn't too bad. i am planning on cooking breakfast but you know how this can go. we will see!
Jul 24, 200223 yr It is impossible to eat breakfast and lunch at my school! It is really expensive! The traditional students are mostly on a meal plan that is included with "room and board" so they pay 25 cents on the dollar and we pay full price. Example: a small salad and a slice of cheese pizza and a small coke is $5.75+tax. No way I can do that 4 days a week! I confess that the food that they serve is usually really good......I just have to watch other people eat it!
Jul 24, 200223 yr Hi, I'm planning on bringing a peanut butter sandwich on wheat and some fruit. Creature of habit. Some days a salad maybe. Marie
Jul 24, 200223 yr I usually packed my lunch, but sometimes we'd all go out and I would spend anywhere between $5-$7.That's why, I packed my lunch...... :)

Jul 24, 200223 yr Whew! I'm finally back! They changed passwords on me...Anyway, here's my experience for what it's worth. Pack leftovers in plastic ware and reheat it if you have access to a microwave. You can buy a cheap cooler and ice pack to keep things fresh. Finger foods like granola bars, cheese sticks, cheese and crackers, fruit are great. One serving soups and the old stand by PB and J. Most of my classmates packed lunches. things like stir fry veggies and rice take maybe twenty minutes to make and are healthy too. Good luck!

Jul 25, 200223 yr Another idea for lunch if you have access to microwave are the Lipton noodle packets. But NOT the little ones in the styrofoam containers that you just add water and put in the micro. These are the ones that come in a large bag and I think they are actually supposed to be used as a "side dish". They come in all different kinds, cheesy brocolli noodles, garlic and roasted tomato, creamy chicken, etc. They are usually on sale for 2 for $2.50 to $3.00. They only take about 10-15 minutes to make so I do it the night before or the morning of. Boil some water, add a little butter and maybe milk and dump the packet in. Then when it's done cooking I put it into a tupper ware container and reheat later. It serves as a really good lunch and fills you up. Especially good in the winter time when it's cold - nice hot lunch.
Jul 25, 200223 yr They are usually on sale for 2 for $2.50 to $3.00. wow! where do you live? i buy these thing 20 packages at a time for $0.50 each! my oldest son loves them for breakfast (he doesn't care much for traditional breakfast foods). i love them for lunch. our favorites are anything w/broccoli, and i love the bow-tie w/parm. cheese.i think we would have to learn to like them a little less with the price tag from your neck of the woods though :roll send me some money, i'll buy ya some and ship 'em to ya. :roll :roll just kidding.
how much are you spending daily for meals when you are at school?
